I am offering email addresses of the form “<name>@heiniger.org” or “<name>@heiniger-net.ch” to relatives. These email addresses can be used via a webmail client, or via the usual offline-mail-programs such as Microsoft Outlook or Mozilla Thunderbird. For Webmail, follow this link:

To everyone named Heiniger, being related, and not having an email account yet: More email accounts can be requested from me.

There is a demo user with the password demodemo, which you can use to try out how all this works.

Your username is the email address. I can set a new password for you if you forget it. Please read here how to find a secure password.

Change per 1. April 2022

Our mail provider used to be Google, and it used to be free. Starting this year, Google wants money for heiniger-net.ch mailboxes. The lowest price tag is 5 Franks per month per mailbox. This is why I am switching to another mail provider.

Important: You are responsible for migrating your previous mailbox content to the new one yourself. I can not do this for you.

Access to the new mailbox works as follows, besides the webmail mentionned at the top of this page:

• Apple – Automatic configuration
• Windows – Outlook 365
  • Instructions from the provider
  • Username: <your mail address>
  • Passwort: <your password> – if you don’t remember it, then you can reset it with these instructions.
  • Mailserver: mail.heiniger.org or mail.heiniger-net.ch (according to your email address)
  • Turn on “SSL/TLS-Encryption”, but turn off certificate validation, if possibleGeneral mail configuration:
